Here is the updated BIG QUEUE. Note that this list is not final - there will be things switched around based on drop-outs, people signing up for more than one pairing, etc. If we've inadvertently slotted you to fly more than one pairing/month, please let us know so we can correct our error! We will constantly be updating this list. If there is a problem with your spot in the queue, there's a certain month you can't rec, etc., reply to this post to and let us know.

• Do not sign up on this post. Please go to the individual sign up pages.

• Due to all the kerfuffle and recent administrative changes, June 2012 will NOT be a FREE FLYING MONTH, but will return as one in 2013. December 2012 shall remain FREE FLYING.

• We don’t have the capacity to work on the strike system anymore. We feel that four fic recs is easy enough for most reccers who have chosen to sign up. If you fail to achieve this, you will not be allowed to rec for 12 months from the date you were due to rec. There will be a mid-month post reminding reccers who are behind in their duties.

• A list of monthly reccers will be posted prior to the month in which they’re due to rec. It is your responsibility to alert us if you are unable to rec. Try not leave it till you have received the individual message, (usually sent by Darry), unless there are extenuating circumstances.

• We do not intend to relegate any ship with a current individual sign-up page to a Rare or Featured Pair. If no one signs up for reccing, there simply will be no recs until someone does.

All right, folks, let's get back on our brooms! As a reminder, per this post, if you don't get four (4) fic recs in during your month, you won't be allowed to rec again in any queue for 12 months. If you can't rec this month for any reason, reply here so we can move down the line.

Let's also cut down on some work for Darry. If you're one of the listed reccers and you see this post, acknowledge that you've seen it and are ready to go by replying here. Remember, if you've never recced before, you'll need to be added as a member of the community, so reply early so you can be ready to go on June 1.

Finally, we definitely need to build our numbers up again. You can check out the Big Queue for all the reccing lists and where they stand, and you can visit the Gateway to Individual Sign-Ups page to get in line to rec as well. Advertising one or both of these posts to your friends and communities would be a big help, even if you're not reccing or don't plan to rec. (P.S. - Het pairings are really suffering)

Why everyone should read this: First of all, the art is gorgeous, with beautiful colors and textures in the sunset, the tree and grass, Hermione's hair, and Severus's robes.  And the look of longing on Severus's face is perfect.  As for the fic, it's a brilliant story of what happens when Hermione gets seduced by her own research and inadvertently causes huge problems for Severus; then they have to work together -- reluctantly at first -- to try to undo the damage she's done.  The plot is completely original, and the characters are totally in character even as they show growth based on their experiences.

Why you chose this piece: This was a gift for me in the ongoing LM/HG Exchange, and there is so much to love here: the rich colors, the textures in their hair, Lucius's cheekbones ... But the best thing is the expressions on their faces -- Hermione looks startled and perhaps a bit nervous, while Lucius looks like he's smugly pleased with how his latest plot is going.  It's just lovely, so check it out and leave the artist some love! :)

Why everyone should read this: The Dramione Remix Fest produced some amazing stories last year, but this is by far my favorite of the bunch.  It's Titanic's Jack & Rose, but with a Dramione twist to it.  Draco is a member of upper class society and is forced by Lucius into an engagement with Astoria Greengrass.  On the maiden voyage of Titanic, he meets independent Hermione and...well, you know how it goes from there.  This pays homage to both the film and the Harry Potter world. It's obvious that a lot of research went into this story because it's filled with fascinating historical details.  It also captures the excitement and suspense of the film because the entire time I was reading it, I was so worried about the fate of all the characters.  This is just a wonderful and emotional ride!
